Incentives offered to first home buyers at JQZ’s Ramsgate Park development in Kogarah

Sydney, 12 August 2017 – Sydney-based developer JQZ’s Ramsgate Park development is set to become a first home buyer’s paradise, with incentives being offered to property buyers who make their first home at the 3.3-hectare mixed-use masterplanned community in the southern Sydney suburb of Kogarah.

The Smart First Home Program, launched by JQZ’s exclusive sales partner for Ramsgate Park, The Property Investors Alliance (PIA), is designed to address the current housing affordability issue and will provide first home buyers the opportunity to buy into the burgeoning community, located at 152-206 Rocky Point Road.

The program will see JQZ competitively price 36 of the 233 apartments in the Stage 2 release at up to $650,000.

The offer is only open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, and allows buyers to capitalise on the NSW Government’s recently-introduced First Home Owner Grant and accompanying stamp duty exemptions.

Of the 36 apartments earmarked for the Smart First Home Program, PIA and JQZ have also specially reserved 15 for first home buyers struggling to save a deposit, with an extension of six months provided for buyers to organise their deposit balance.

According to the Managing Director and Founder of PIA, Justin Wang, the incentive is in recognition of the need to introduce affordability measures in Sydney’s competitive housing market.

“Housing affordability is an issue that affects us all, and we know that many buyers are finding it extremely difficult to save a deposit for a home and ultimately gain a foothold on Sydney’s property ladder,” explained Mr Wang.

“At Ramsgate Park, the Smart First Home Program will give 15 pre-qualified first home buyers the opportunity to purchase apartments at priority appointments, and after selecting their preferred residence, they can then make their deposit in instalments, with 5% due on exchange, and the remaining 5% due within six months.

“A further 21 apartments in the Stage 2 release will also give both first home buyers and investors access to affordable properties under the $650,000 mark.”

Jian Qiu Zhang, Founder and CEO of JQZ, believes more developers should consider introducing such measures.

“I’m a big believer that our industry as a whole, including government and property developers, can always do more when it comes to giving buyers a leg-up to purchase their first home,” said Mr Zhang.

“That’s why affordability measures such as PIA’s Smart First Home Program are crucial in assisting thousands of first time buyers to break the rental cycle and purchase their own slice of the Sydney property pie – we’re very pleased to be involved in this great initiative.”

Purchasers who secure one of the reserved apartments at Ramsgate Park, which is located on Kogarah’s former Darrell Lea factory site, will be buying into a community surrounded by beautiful waterways, parklands and a golf course.

Ramsgate Park has been designed with four apartment buildings positioned on the outer edges of the site, allowing for a large green community space in the middle, which will also be open to local residents and connect to the adjacent public parklands of Scarborough Park.

Over 7,000sqm has been dedicated to green open spaces and children’s play areas, as well as boardwalks, landscaped rooftop gardens and spacious outdoor entertaining areas.

With a selection of primary and secondary schools nearby, as well as St George Hospital, Westfield Hurstville and local shops, eateries and cafes, Ramsgate Park is also set to benefit from surrounding amenity and infrastructure upgrades as part of the Kogarah New City Plan.

In addition, upgrades to the nearby Kogarah town centre – which now spans 6,485sqm and features Woolworths, Aldi, a tavern and 18 specialty stores – have perfectly positioned Ramsgate Park buyers for the future.
